This past weekend included a walk
along the Bashakill Nature Trail. John Haas was leading a group to see some
migratory birds. Bashakill
attracts many migrating bird species. Check out John's Blog
More Signs of Spring
The paper whites are in full bloom just outside the front door. Looks like the lilac blooms will be any day.
LKD and I went to the annual spring citywide garage sale in Port Jervis. The old adage about one man's treasure is another man's trash was apparently this years theme. We were pretty interested in some stuff that Tim had for sale.

The couch
on his front lawn looked to be in good shape but Tim insisted that it was not
for sale.
The poison ivy seems to be getting a bit better. Last week I was literally up to my elbows in the stuff.
The deck project has progressed but LKD requested no wet paint today. LKD has invited a friend over to try a few snacks and enjoy the afternoon sitting on the deck. The chairs have been sanded. They are ready for a fresh coat of stain or paint. Banana Shrimp Update: The Bananas have finally turned pretty black.
The recipe for Banana Shrimp was worth the wait for black bananas. The recipe is available and recommended. Check it out at the food network website.
Looking forward to more stuff tomorrow.... we are taking the Mayor to The Old Erie for Minisink Valley Kiwanis meeting. The Mayor of Millsburg is a charter member (1957) of MV Kiwanis and enjoys getting to a meeting from time to time.
