Hoarding or Collecting - You Decide

The day started by looking inside some boxes and bins that have been lurking around the basement and garage. While clearing some of the 'stuff'' that has been 'collected' over the years it occurred to me that there is a fine line between collecting and hoarding. Apparently we have some collections.... but there are some things that seem to cross the line to hoarding.

Take the challenge !

Hoard or Collectable?
The phone on the left is is my cell phone from 1996. You had to have the antenna sticking up. If you used it for more than a couple of minutes the battery would go dead. The only charger was one that plugged into the lighter hole inside the car. I don't even know where the cell tower was but I am sure this one gives new meaning to 'Can you hear me now?'

If you happen to frequent EBay and wander around antique stores with a single purpose.... to find a Salty and Peppy that is not already on the shelf.... you may be a hoarder.
I look forward to your comments.

The chairs have the first coat of new green paint. On a recent visit to Low-ees I took advantage of the mistake paints that are usually available at a deep discount. Snagged this gallon of Valspar exterior porch enamel for ten bucks.
These chairs were built ten or twelve years ago in a little woodshop in Johnson. Just needed a little TLC (and some power washing)!

It seems that a perfectly good Tuesday afternoon has arrived. Since we will be heading out for the MV Kiwanis meeting in a bit.... it seems like a good opportunity for a diversion.....
