Today is Wednesday and I have heard that this may be a good "market day".
The chicken is in the oven.
After doing some organizing outside under the deck things are ready for some planting, pruning and clearing the cobwebs that have accumulated over the years. Soon, I found myself occupied with the task of giving Henny, a new head. That's right... a Hennyhead!
LKD and The Mayor
Shopping list in hand, my route out of Millsburg took me past the Mayor's stately home atop the highest point in all of Millsburg. What a grand spot overlooking Indegot Creek. Our house in Millsburg is just downstream from the Mayor, just below the millpond and the cool ceramic tile studio. Meet the Mayor!

Although the miracle mile has no real appeal the shopping list took me through Middletown then east on Route 211. The trip through town was easy. There was a parking place just down the block from my first stop. A 'real deal' Italian Bakery. The rye bread was just out of the oven.

Steeple Repair

After stops at a couple of grocers, the Hobby Lobby and Harbor Tool stores my projects for the day were still waiting. It was already after 1:00PM, Henny still needed to have his broken neck chopped off to prepare his neck stub for Hennyhead.

After some scrubbing and a few coats of fast dry poly the head has been fitted. Cosmetic procedures have really come a long way, Henny's face reconstruction gets underway very soon.

The chicken is ready.
Maybe after chicken it will be time for the power washer to open a barrage of blasting stuff. If not tonight, then definitely soon!
