Thirty years ago we enjoyed watching Chevy Chase in the classic road trip flick "Vacation". The open road leading to Wally World. Today LKD and I have loaded up the car and are heading south to Dolly World... Nashville TN.
Our plan is to explore the Great Smoky Mountains as we make our way through Virginia and westward to Tennessee. After a few days we will make a trek across North Carolina to the sea shore at Kitty Hawk before heading north to Millsburg.
Assuming I can figure out how to blog using the iPad from the road there may be some updates in a few days.
FB will be checking on the mystery seeds while we are gone. The mystery seeds are blooming.
Last weekend we enjoyed the annual get together at LKD's brother's place in CT.

The Griswalds live!! Just found the blog searching for Millsburg. Can you tell me exactly where this is? I am researching personal genealogy and have an ancestor who was born there in 1851, but cannot find a description of it or location through internet search.
ReplyDeleteThanks!

Millsburg, located in Orange County, NY is noted as an early industrial settlement. The nearest Post Office is Johnson, NY 10933. Today there are a couple of houses, ruins from an old dam site and a few foundations from various types of early mills that used water wheels to power the workings. What is the family name of your ancestor? I have a copy of the 1863 Beer's Atlas with detail on early Millsburg landowners.
